I admit, I get a little jealous every time I walk by our RV campgrounds in York.

I'm often walking from York Harbor to Long Sands beach, and the sidewalk goes right by this wonderful RV campground.

It's the people who make me envious.

Always looking so relaxed and happy, always giving me a cheery hello as they sit outside around the fire enjoying great food, drink - and each other.

Many of the faces are ones I recognize year after year in this oceanside summer community.

Besides all the charm of small-town coastal Maine, there's no end of other sights to see and things to do here.

Camp Eaton -- Directly opposite Long Sands beach on 35 acres of woods, grassy fields, a lily pond and natural wetlands. All sites offer water, 30-amp electric, sewer, and cable TV hookups. Special pull-through, full hook-up sites are available with 50 amp service and cable TV. Each short-term site includes picnic table and a stone fireplace. Pets allowed on leash. Libby's Oceanside Camp -- Direct Maine oceanfront campground on Long Sands beach. Most sites are either oceanfront or ocean views. Sites have water, electricity and sewer - some have 50 amp. Cable TV is offered on most sites. Modern restrooms have hot showers. Facilities are handicap accessible. Views of Nubble lighthouse from the campground. Pets allowed on leash. Flagg's RV Resort -- Less than 500 ft. from Long Sands beach. Pets allowed on leash. Full hook-up seasonal sites only. Planned activities for adults and children, fire ring. Open mid-May to late September. 68 Garrison Avenue, York Beach, ME 03910. 1-207-363-5050.





Burnette's Trailer and Tent Area –- Burnette's is in York Beach, and I mean IN York Beach. Full hook-up sites. Short walking distance to Short Sands beach, amusement park and zoo, restaurants, live entertainment, shops, beachfront arcade. 21 Railroad Avenue, York Beach, ME 03910. Open mid-May to mid-October. York Beach Camper Park -- Close to Short Sands beach. Sites for RV’s with slideouts, trailers, pop-ups and tents. Full hookups with up to 50 amp service. Dumping station. Laundromat. Camp store, picnic tables, fire rings, play area, laundromat, wheelchair accessible bathrooms with free hot showers, quiet pets welcome on leash. 11 Cappy's Lane, York Beach, ME 03910. Dixon's Campground -- Tent and RV campground. Situated on twenty-six acres of Maine woodlands. Located off of Route 1 in Cape Neddick, two miles south of Ogunquit center. Sites are located among four wooded and open areas, each with its' own restroom and shower facility. Water and electric hook-ups are available and a dumping station is located in the park. Large heated in-ground pool and a small playground for younger children. Campground store offers groceries and camping necessities. Pets accepted on leash.
